JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA,VATTEM ,MAHABUBNAGAR Dist. is fully a residential and Co-educational institution run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi which is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Secondary and Higher Education),Govt. of India.The Vidyalaya falls under the Southern Region of NVS head quartered at Hyderabad.

Located at the foot hills of Lord Venkateshwara Temple,Vattem(www.vattemvenkateswaraswamy.org) which is 42 kms away from the District head quarters enroute Jadcherla – Nagarkurnool . The Vidyalaya enjoys a pleasant and lively atmosphere.The District collector serves as the Chairman of the Vidyalaya Management Committee . The Vidyalaya has been established in atonement with the New Education Policy,1986.

THE BROAD AIMS OF NAVODAYA VIDYALAYAS ARE

To encourage and promote talent predominantly from the rural areas and weaker sections.
To provide quality and modern education for all round development of the rural talented children of rural areas with a strong component of culture and inculcation of values.
To promote national integration among the students through a policy of migration between the Hindi speaking and non-Hindi speaking areas in India.
To establish themselves as pace setting institutions so as to be the model in the district and also to be resource centre for promotion of excellence.

It is affliated to Central Board of Secondary Education ,New Delhi.The Students are admitted in Class VI on the basis of an entrance test conducted CBSE and free education is imparted upto Class XII.
